NICOLE BUTRON is a brand founded in Barranquilla, Colombia. Since September 2018 has been proposing the elaboration of hand-woven accessories. Our collections are made in co-creations with Inga indigenous communities from Putumayo, Colombia. Our mission is to demonstrate the unbelievable talent that our country has around the world. Inga communities have the gift of transforming “beads” into pieces that are full of history, magic and art, achieving a perfect fusion between the creativity of their designer and Inga’s cultural traditions. We make sure that the community preserves their ancestral techniques, but most important, we assure them a fair payment for their work.
Nicole Butron DNA is characterized by preserving and promoting artisan traditions, but at the same time we try to modernize the woven techniques from our ancestral masters. Our goal is to create awareness within the fashion industry by designing long-lasting ETHNICAL pieces in which people appreciates handmade work and the values the effort involved in it.
